Happy St. Paddy’s

It’s St. Patrick’s Day 2010! It’s a day that celebrates the life of St. Patrick of Ireland, and although a religious holiday, has in recent times come to be more of a celebration involving parades, and copious amounts of food and drink. Probably much more drink than food. Having the name Patrick I feel compelled to share ways to celebrate the day and get the most out of all the fun. Firstly you must wear green, well ok, so it’s not compulsory but it wouldn’t be St. Patricks Day without a splash of the Irish color. Another thing that is obligatory is feasting on Irish recipes such as corned beef and cabbage, or Irish stew, and not forgetting of course the one food that everybody associates with Ireland, the Bloomin’ Onion. Whatever you do, it’s always a good idea to celebrate by sharing a drink or three with friends, whether it is the Irish stout, beer, or whatever else takes your fancy, though I’m not suggesting of course that alcohol is obligatory, just enjoyable! Have fun but be responsible and safe, might as well close at the Outback. Wait a minute, you’d think I’d get a pass, but nope, closing in PH. Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

Kudos for Campbell

Positive comments keep coming in. It makes it nice to open emails like this. Great job!! Kind of makes up for the grill brushes yesterday, but not really!

My family and I visited your Campbell, CA location on 03/03/2010 6:48pm for our daughter’s birthday. We had a very nice dinner. Matthew, our server was great with his service and recommendations. He was quick with his service and refilled our drinks without us hunting him down. Thanks again for the great dinner. Tell Matthew to keep up the great service and we’ll see you guys again soon. Thanks.

How do they do it?

I think we all agree that things are always much better when they are new. But then again, things get old, used and need to be eventually replaced. I guess that’s why I’m always looking over my shoulder. Recently in Campbell our saute cook, who i might say opened the restaurant in 1996, showed off his grill brushes to me. You can see the pride in his face on how much use he got out of each brush. My question is how he can saute a Saturday night with that. I don’t think we can ever thank him enough.

Old and used, it’s time to be replaced.

A Few Comments

I was remiss in checking into my comments box and there was a couple of them that I thought might need a response.

Comment by Sallie: “you actually gave him a hamburger with a candle on it? Pat, I think you’ve lost your mind.”

Response: I now realize the concern you all had for Toby. Let me assure you that there was no major damage just a few singed whiskers. Oh by the way it was Arby’s Roast Beef sandwich. Nothing but the finest for this dog.

Comment by Robert: In reference to the Post Turtle Robert ask, “is that your pet that killed by pushing into the pool”

Response: Let me be very clear here. As in the words of our previous President, Bill Clinton, who said “I did not have s** with that woman”. I will adamently state that “I did not push that turtle in the pool”. I mean really, we all have seen turtles slip and fall before, haven’t we.

Dublin Kudo’s

Comments from another happy customer!

I LOVE your restaurant!! Everytime we go to the Outback in Dublin we are always satified with everything. The food is great and the service is even better! The wait is never too long. We went to Black Angus for a special dinner and we will never go back. They had horrible service. Now we know!! Anyways keep up the good work!!
