Way to go!

We are not a perfect company but the true measure of how good of a company we are is based on how we respond to our mistakes. Roseville’s response exemplifies on how good a company we can be.

My husband and I recently decided to go out on a rare date night on February 13th. My mom was babysitting our daughter and we decided to brave the crowds on Valentines day weekend becasue I had been craving an Outback Special for a long time. As expected there were a lot of people out that night and we had a 70 minute wait. When we were seated we ordered almost immediatly since we knew what we wanted before we even got there. Our waitress was wonderfull and cheerful despite the very busy night. After our meals arrived my steak was over cooked but still tasted wonderful so I never said anything. Our waitress stopped by to check on us and noticed my steak was over cooked. She immediatly offered to order a new one which I said wasn’t necessary but she insisted and headed to the kitchen. A short time later a manager came out with the new steak, apologized, took the original steak off our bill and offered free dessert. The new steak was even better than what I had been craving for so long and the dessert was heavenly. Going out to dinner is a rare treat these days and going out without our 3 year old is more rare. Thanks to such wonderful service from our excellent waitress and a generous manager our rare night out was a great treat for both of us. In a society where people seem to become more selfish everyday it is a real joy to experience great customer service. We will make the Roseville Outback our primary choice for dining out for both the excellent food and superior customer service. Thank you for making a special night such a great experience.

Like a fine wine!

What do they say about a fine wine, it gets better with age. Well some might argue that is also the case with our partner in Roseville, Robert. Today he celebrates his birthday and I must say he has done nothing other than get better and better in his results each year. Just like a fine wine. Happy Birthday Robert, go and celebrate with nothing other than a great bottle of wine. I’m buying and you’ve got a $10 budget.

Blooms for ther Military

During the month of March Outback Steakhouse will be giving back to our military as they dine with us. Any active or retired military personnel can come in and enjoy a Bloomin’ Onion on us. A small way of saying thanks for all the service they have given to our country. Along with the complimentary Blooms, we will also be giving a part of the proceeds from are Red, White and Bloomin’ menu insert to raise at least One Million Dollars for Operation Homefront which I talked about in a previous posting. Thank you all in advance for making this a successful event.

Crash

So this whole facebook thing could make things a bit interesting. Now I of course don’t have a facebook account but someone I know well is friends with many Outbackers and shared some recent post from our partner in Roseville. So on Tuesday he posted:

Robert Strothers on the way to sugarbowl -shred all day !!! Lov Ca. Only hour & half away to snowboard

Then on Wenesday he posted:

Robert Strothers thank you for your concern -great day snowbording didn’t get hurt but my new helmet didn’t fair as-well 2 feet of snow projected to fall in the next 2 days

No wonder your helmet cracked and didn’t “fair as-well”. We obtained a photo of Robert shredding on the slopes. I don’t think many helmets would survive with that type of shredding!

Another year older!

Ryan is the manager that has been keeping our Pleasant Hill Restaurant running as smooth as can be, or at least until Pat shows up and messes everything up. Is celebrating a birthday today! He actually opened the Outback in Dublin many moons ago. Since then he has worked in Chico, Elk Grove Pittsburg and now in Pleasant Hill. He really has done a great job in taking care of Pleasant Hill during this time of transition. I hope you all join me in wishing him the best of Birthdays!
